While the WSMA Festival Music List is comprised of over 6,000 approved titles for performance at district and state Solo & Ensemble Festivals, many of our events also permit the music teacher to submit a request for their students to perform a selection that is not included on the list. The events are designated in their header as being "Permission Allowed" or "Permission Required." Additionally, teacher may also request to use an alternate edition of a selection included on the list.

Suggested Repertoire Lists - NEW in 2011-12!
We realize it can be challenging to find music for your students to perform in events that are "Permission Required/Allowed," especially when you aren't even sure that they will be approved by the Permissions Chair. This section is intended to help create a smoother process for you by providing lists of music that has either previously been on the approved list, or has been granted permission to be used. These lists will be updated at various times, so that we continue to provide you as many options as possible.
Not every "permission" event is represented here yet, but we are working on it!
When you are completing the Permission Form, if your selection is one of these on the Suggested Repertoire list, you do NOT need to include a copy of the music with the form. Simply check the box indicating you selected the music from here, and send the form.
