Description:
Apple's GarageBand software is a very powerful and easy-to-use tool for allowing students at all levels and subject areas to create original music compositions and/or podcasts. It also provides students an easy and efficient way of recording themselves singing or playing an instrument. It's also a great tool for music teachers! This course will teach new users how to operate the software as well as provide ideas and inspiration for using the software in the classroom. We will create our own original compositions, write and produce a podcast, and design a unit plan which uses the software in your class that you can use in the upcoming school year.
This is a 6-week online course worth two graduate credits. Participants should plan to spend approximately 5 hours per week completing the work for this course.
