Description:
Apple's GarageBand software is a very powerful and easy-to-use tool for allowing students at all levels and subject areas to create original music compositions and/or podcasts. It also provides students an easy and efficient way of recording themselves singing or playing an instrument. It's also a great tool for music teachers! This course will teach new users how to operate the software as well as provide ideas and inspiration for using the software in the classroom.

Webinar Information:
Webinars are "web seminars" that include both an audio line (telephone) and an online presentation. Webinar participants will register as for any other workshop, but instead of joining the workshop in person, they can attend from home using a telephone and a computer with an internet connection.

After you register, you will be provided with a phone number and password to enter the webinar. At the scheduled time, click on the webinar link emailed to you and then call the phone number for the audio line. You may want to join the webinar 5-10 minutes before the scheduled start time to be sure everything is working.

During the webinar, the presenter's voice will be heard over the telephone, while the presentation will be visible on your computer screen. Usually the presentation is in the form of a PowerPoint or other slide slow, but the presenter may also show screen shots of his or her computer, navigate to other web sites, etc.
