Maria Zellmer
Case Study: Comparison of Music Students in 1997 and 2007
Perception of Their Curriculum and Self-Growth

Maria Zellmer has just finished a long-term sub position at Park View Middle School in Mukwonago, teaching choral music and the "Exploring Music" classes for first semester. She conducted a comparison study to the survey she had taken in her general music classes 10 years ago, to discover if her students felt they had gained in skills and knowledge in the classes. Last fall semester as she taught at Park View, the keyboard classes were structured almost exactly as they were 10 years ago. The original study and paper written was her final project in completion of her MME in Whitewater. It's presented here as a case study.
